Whoever F.O.S.I was, his site was just the best for a hell of a lot of programs. There was never anything that was suspect or infected with virus or unwanted programs. Just trouble free apps. Oh how I wish there were more people like him in the warez download arena. He was an absolute legend.. I downloaded every program that he ever put up on his site. Never ever one that didn't install or without a serial that worked every time. Jees I miss his site. The funny thing is, once I was able to test a program thoroughly to make sure it worked I often bought the retail versions, but it was always good to try out the many different programs that he made available.

FOSI was without a doubt the most reliable warez source.His site was very simple and it had direct links to very good programs with their serial number or key generators.No ads, no redirects, no signups, no spyware, no BS. The goodies as you would expect from retail releases. These days, if you want to get good stuff, you have to use triple condoms just to visit a warez site.Big kudos for all the Photoshop plugins he once hosted.FOSI was a legend.

And if there's one habit that you must kill as soon as possible, it's the carefree downloading of software from any and all sites. Today, free software download sites are one of the most common sources of bloatware and even malware.

This one is sort of a corollary to the point directly above, but you should avoid warez sites as much as you can. For those who don't know, warez are a form of piracy that mainly involves cracked software.
Warez are usually exchanged within a community, though these communities can be publicly accessible through search engines. Most often, warez exchanges exist as forums but use various file hosting services for the actual sharing.
This isn't a comprehensive list, but it's an important starting point. Too many sites out there can deliver malicious trojans and worms to your computer and it's your duty to be wary and vigilant. You can turn to the safest software download sites, but they're not perfect, either. Do remain cautious!
